Born in 1978, Mathieu Forest was graduated from Marne la Vallée Architecture School in Paris, as a DPLG architect in 2001.
Since 1997, Mathieu Forest is working as an architect in Ateliers Jean Nouvel. His journey led him to become one of the closest collaborators of Jean Nouvel. Firstly as an architect, then as a project manager, he participated in many international projects, such as the Andel project in Prague, the Copenhagen Concert Hall, Perpignan Theater, Ardmore Towers in Singapore, Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur, the competition for the redevelopment of Les Halles in Paris, Gazprom’s Headquarters in Saint Petersburg, etc.
From 2007 to 2015, Mathieu Forest led the project of Philharmonic Concert Hall of Paris from the competition phase to delivery as the Project Director for Ateliers Jean Nouvel.
Since 2010, as Jean Nouvel’s Studio Director, Mathieu Forest notably led the competition and then the preliminary studies of the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) in Beijing. He also led the competition of Pudong Museum of Contemporary Art (Shanghai), which is currently under construction. In 2015, he became the director of production and architectural design for Ateliers Jean Nouvel.
After the foundation in 2011, the office MATHIEU FOREST ARCHITECTE has participated in several competitions and projects in France but also in different countries, including a housing project in Limeil-Brévannes, delivered in 2018 and award winning project Ice Cubes, delivered 2021.
MATHIEU FOREST ARCHITECTE works in partnership with other architects and design offices specializing in structure, building economics, rendering or modeling.
